Attach the Wall Mount Brackets (G) to the Floor Yokes (H) using the Bolts, Nuts, and Washers shown. The distance from the end of the Wall Mount Brackets to the fronts of the Floor Yokes should be equivalent to the mattress thickness, plus 8 inches. Place bolt heads on outside.
Hardware: M8x20mm Bolt, 2 Flat Washers, Nylock Nut (4 sets)
Insert Screws through Wall Mount Brackets (G) and into the bottom plate of the wall (Ok to screw through baseboard, but if there is quarter-round it must be removed. The Floor Yoke Assembly must sit directly on the floor, parallel to the floor). This may require inserting the screws at a downward angle. If the wall was not constructed using a wooden bottom plate (the stud that runs horizontally under the vertical wall studs), the Next Bed must be secured using proper fasteners for the wall construction, or be secured into the subfloor instead, using either 5/16” concrete anchors (concrete subfloor) or 5/16” lag screws (wood subfloor).
Hardware: 3” Flat Head Wood Screw (8 pcs)
Slide End Frame (F), Head Frame (B), Side Rails (D) and Center Rail (C) together as shown. Attach, hand-tight, End Frame (F) and Head Frame (B) to Side Rails (D); 2 bolts at foot, 4 bolts at head. Place bolt heads on top, with washers and nuts below the Frame.
Note: Side Rails are not interchangeable. The Side Rails (D) must be installed into the Head Frame (B) and End Frame (F) so that the holes for the Legs (N) are nearer the End Frame (F).
Hardware: M8x53mm Bolt, Lock Washer, Nut (6 sets)
Attach, hand-tight, End Frame (F) to Side Rails (D) at Leg end. Bolts secured though top and bottom of frame. Bolts to not go all the way through the frame.
Hardware: M8x16mm Bolt (4 Pcs)
Attach, hand-tight, End Frame (F) and Head Frame (B) to Center Rail (C) (For Double and Queen Beds Only). This step is best accomplished by standing the frame on end, on the Head Frame (B) and having a helper pull down on the End Frame (F) to align the holes in the End Frame (F) with the holes in the Center Rail (C). Tighten bolts from steps 6-8.
Hardware: M8x55mm Bolt, Lock Washer, Nut (4 Sets)
Attach Slat Holders (O) to End Frame (F), Side Rails, and Center Rail (C).
Hardware: #5x16mm Self-Tapping Screws (6 or 12 pcs) and Slat Holders (6 or 12 pcs)
Attach Mattress Retainer Bar(s) (A) to Head Frame (B).
Hardware: M6x50mm Bolt, Washer, Nylock Nut (2 or 4 sets) **Do not attach Leg Actuator Bars (E) now**
Stand the assembled frame. Lift and set the hinge axles (mushroom-shaped rods) of the Head Frame (B) into the hinges (hooks) of the yoke assembly, with the slat holders on the wall-side of the frame.
With a helper holding the frame in the vertical position, stabilize the frame in the vertical position by applying one spring on either side (Photo 1).
Attach Legs (N) to Side Rails (D), see Detail A. Do not over-tighten, so Legs (N) may pivot freely.
Hardware: M6x42mm Bolt, Spacer, Washer, Nylock Nut (2 sets)
Attach Actuator Bars (E) to the Legs (N) (See Detail A), then to the Floor Yokes (H). Bend back ends of cotter pins to secure.
Hardware: Cotter Pin, Washer (4 sets)
Rotate the bed down into the horizontal position, move both sides of the the Nylon Web Strap into the desired locations, and install the slats (Q) by slipping one end into a Slat Holder and flexing the slat slightly and tapping it into its adjacent Slat Holder.
Install proper number of Springs to balance the frame and mattress. Raise bed frame with mattress to the vertical position. Add an equal number of springs on each side until the bed frame and mattress are almost weightless at the 45-degree angle. Remember that the system will weigh slightly more when bedding is added to the system. See Photo 1.
Install the Spring Covers (L) to the Bottom Spring Tube (J) to cover the installed springs.
Hardware: M6x10mm Bolt (4 pcs)
